This latest offering The Hub Coffee Roasters comes from the north of Peru near the border with Ecuador, and features high grown Typica and Bourbon varietals. The cooperative producing this coffee, CENFROCAFE, was established in 1999 with 220 small-lot producers and has since become one of the leading producers of coffee in Peru. With the production of specialty coffee in Peru still in its infancy, The Hub’s roasters approached this coffee without really knowing what to expect, but were quickly blown away. Toffee sweetness and crisp apple in the nose, a silky mouthfeel and nutty chocolate finish, all built around the heavy textured flavor of fresh figs.

Acidity: Rounded
Sweetness: Deep notes of toffee and caramel
Body: Rich, creamy
Finish: Smooth, chocolate
